Touching Lives, One Month at a time
At TOUCH Inc. we extend a helping hand to those bravely battling cancer, recognizing the immense weight that comes with this diagnosis.
Our mission is simple yet profound:
Provide non-medical financial support to cancer patients who meet our specific criteria, as outlined in the “Who We Can Help” section of our application form.
While TOUCH cannot alleviate the burden of medical expenses we firmly believe that the everyday challenges should not add to the struggle.
That’s why we step in to assist with those regular, but often overlooked, costs such as:
Funding fuel and transit to treatments.
Covering groceries, supplies, and other essential non-medical expenses.
Helping pay electricity, water, and heat bills.
Sponsoring care while patients get treatment.
Support for rent and mortgage during treatment.
Expenses that cancer patients find themselves unable to manage due to their diagnosis.
However, it’s essential to note that we do not cover credit card bills.
Our assistance is offered at the sole discretion of TOUCH inc., and each application receives
personalized attention.
.
We approach every request with care and compassion.
understanding that no two journeys through cancer are the same.
.
While we are committed to making a difference, we cannot guarantee assistance to everyone who applies.
We understand the limitations of our resources and acknowledge that we may not be able to fulfill all your financial needs during your treatment.
At TOUCH Inc.,
we are not just an organization; we are a community standing with you, ready to provide relief, support, and hope as you navigate the turbulent waters of cancer
Every $25 helps with groceries, rent, or transportation so cancer patients can focus on healing.
Ensuring patients heal without financial worry.
Responsible management of donations to maximize patient support and essential operations.
Applications are reviewed anonymously to protect patient dignity.
Powered by volunteers and supporters working together.
And So it Began...
"In 2009 Dr. Cathy Engel contacted me with the idea of creating a non-profit organization to help cancer patients with non-medical expenses.
She would call it TOUCH in the hope of touching the lives of people whose lives and finances had been ravaged by cancer.
She asked if I would help her to organize it.
I said yes immediately.
Retired after more than 50 years as an ordained Protestant minister, I had known many cancer patients who could have benefited from TOUCH.
Others joined with us and TOUCH was established with the help of many generous donors.
This work has been both challenging and rewarding.
My hope and prayer is that TOUCH will continue as long as there are cancer patients who need our help".
